As this year ends, we would like to reflect on the achievements of the Cambridge Support team. We started the year with some great PR recognition, won various awards and even was featured on ITV News Anglia. 2024 has been a landmark year that has redefined our journey, challenged our limits, and set our position as a leading IT support provider in the UK. Here are our seven achievements of 2024.

February: 9th Fastest IT Support Provider in the UK

In February Cambridge Support was recognised as the 9th fastest growing IT company in the UK. In a recent industry report by IT Channel Oxygen highlighting the nation’s rapidly expanding tech sector, Cambridge Support was identified in an impressive position.

This exceptional achievement is testament to the hard work, commitment, and expertise of the Cambridge Support team. From our humble beginnings 5 years ago, we have grown exponentially, establishing ourselves as a leading provider of exceptional IT support services in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.

May: Two Gold Wins at the SME Ely Business Awards

On 21st May, Cambridge Support were winners of two prestigious awards at the SME Ely Business Awards 2024.

May: Cambridge Support Celebrated its 5th Birthday

Cambridge Support started trading in May 2019 and what started out as just a lifestyle business by Philip Mashinchi turned out to be much more. The team have turned it into a thriving business with an incredible culture, fantastic clients, and a bright future ahead!

5th anniversary

September: A Silver Award at the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards 2024

On Thursday 5th September 2024, Cambridge Support was awarded a silver award in the category of Service Excellence from the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards 2024. It was not too long ago that Philip, Helen, and Glen were collecting two gold awards back in May, one of which was Service Excellence. So, for the team to win again for Service Excellence truly reflects the hard work from the entire team and is a moment of celebration for us all. This recognition also reassures us that putting our customers first in everything we do can lead to great things.

October: Cambridge Support Became an Employee-Owned Company

Towards the end of October Cambridge Support transitioned to an employee-owned business. This move opened a new and exciting chapter in the company’s history. Digital Marketing Manager, Glen shared his thoughts on the move:

“I believe this is big news. Being part of an employee-owned company fundamentally changes how I view my role as Marketing Manager. It is now about contributing to something I part own and that everyone benefits from. I thank Phil and Alex for making this happen and it will be great to see Cambridge Support continue to flourish.”

November: Cambridge Support was featured on ITV News Anglia

On Wednesday 13th November 2024, one of our Senior Consultants, Aaron, was aired on ITV News Anglia. The 4-minute segment was shown on both ITV News Anglia East and West. Aaron spoke well and helped educate people that they must take caution when scanning QR codes. An excerpt of his speaking is shown below.

“So, the more people that there are using these services, the more people are familiar with using these tools and using QR codes, they will establish a false sense of trust that everything that they scan will be legitimate. With the increased number of people using them of course there’s a greater attack surface, or a greater amount of people that could be targeted by scammers and taken advantage of.”

December: Finalists in the SME National Business Awards 2024

On Friday 6th December four members of the team attended the SME National Business Awards at Wembley Stadium in London. We were finalists yet again in the categories of Business of the Year and Service Excellence.

On our table there was a gold award from Jason Mashinchi from our sister company, Cambridge Kinetics. He took home gold for Young Business Person of the Year, which was an incredible achievement. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and the people.

Conclusion

2024 has been a year of remarkable achievements for Cambridge Support. From rapid growth and multiple awards to becoming an employee-owned company and gaining national recognition. We have consistently demonstrated our ability to innovate, adapt, and excel.
